Beyond Sportswear appoints non-executive director
Australia-based manufacturer and distributor of sports apparel Beyond Sportswear International (BSI) has appointed Mark Kellett as a non-executive director of the board as it prepares for expansion.
Mr Kellett, who is a substantial holder of BSI, has supported the company through numerous capital raisings and will bring a range of corporate and commercial experience to the role.
In a statement on the Australian Securities Exchange this morning, BSI said Mr Kellet’s experience would make him a valuable addition to the company.
“Mr Kellet’s prior managerial roles and his strong track record of achieving business results will enable him to bring skills o the board to assist with capitalising on the program of restructuring and business consolidation that has been recently undertaken by the company.”
BSI recently refinanced its existing National Australia Bank (NAB) facilities with Investec Bank, providing the company with $1 million for acquisitions.
BSI chief executive Glen Casey said the company is also currently in the process of screening possible takeover targets for expansion and new products.
