Registration open for OutDoor Industry Awards

The organisers of the OutDoor Show in Friedrichshafen (July 14–17) have announced that registration for the 2011 OutDoor Industry Awards is open. The deadline is June 10 2011.

Entries will be accepted in the following eight categories:

1. Apparel / Helmets / Shoes
2. Backpacks / Travel luggage
3. Mountain-climbing equipment
4. Camping equipment
5. Sleeping bags
6. Accessories
7. Products of high ecological and sustainable value
8. Material innovations

A jury of experts will judge the entries and choose the winners in Hannover on June 28–29 2011. The Gold award winner will then be selected from all the winning products. Products will be evaluated on the basis of their degree of innovation, design quality, workmanship, choice of materials, environmental compatibility, sustainability, functionality, utility, safety, trendsetting character and brand value.

The Awards Ceremony has been scheduled to take place during the OutDoor Show in Hall A2 on 14 July at 5:30 p.m. All the winning products will be on display in Foyer East during the entire show.
