Mico Sport launches new thermo socks

27/04/2011

Italian technical sport sock manufacturer, Mico Sport, has launched its new line of socks made with thermoregulation fibres, designed to create an environment that promotes the comfort of the foot.

The new range of socks has been introduced into the spring-summer 2011 collection of Mico Sport: CA 3065 Long Trekking sock (medium weight) and CA3066 Short Trekking sock (medium weight). Both products are multi-functional, according to the company, and contain fibres with a hollow core along with fibres with a multi-channelled surface, giving properties such as enhanced air circulation coupled with moisture management during physical exertion.

The styles will be produced using new technology, on a range of machineries that Mico Sport owns. This technology allows Mico Sport to create a sock that can be designed and made according to the needs of the final users.

“Care for details, use of the best raw materials and continuous research are key factors of Mico Sport in developing high-performance socks which protect feet against cold or heat and contribute to the foot’s own temperature regulating function,” said a statement from the company.

Generally, users of Mico Sport socks prefer lightweight socks for trekking. In addition, a low density mesh and a double structured anatomical protection layer in the toe and heel allow air circulation and provide protection.
