VF Corporation has announced its results for the first quarter of 2011. Revenues rose by 12% compared to the same quarter last year to reach $1.95 billion from $1.74 billion in 2010. All VF coalitions achieved higher revenues in the quarter, with the strongest growth in outdoor and action sports, where revenues increased by 16%.
The two largest brands in the sports and outdoor segment, The North Face and Vans, achieved global revenue growth of 17% and 20% respectively during the quarter.
