Dunning Sportswear for sale
The president of Canada-based sports apparel brand, Dunning Sportswear, has decided to sell the company. Ralph Dunning is expected to spend the next 30-60 days talking to prospective buyers
“We’ve built an authentic golf brand that’s genuinely well-liked with product that’s well respected,” said Mr Dunning. “As a small business you can only go so far to compete against five billion dollar brands without the mechanisms, staff and resources in place. We’re seen as a good and competitive brand. My goal is to see the brand go the global level with someone that has what it takes to get it done right.”
Dunning Sportswear opened two new Toronto retail locations last year. The firm plans to focus on the retail segment with the two boutiques. Neither store is expected to be part of the corporate sale.
Dunning Golf, a branch of Dunning Sportswear, is a two-time winner for Canadian Golf Company of the Year while Ralph Dunning is a former winner of Executive of the Year.
