Gildan achieves Oeko-Tex renewal

Canadian sports clothing manufacturer Gildan has renewed its certification under Oeko-Tex Standard 100 for its entire branded product line, including T-shirts, sport shirts, fleece products, socks, and underwear.

Gildan has renewed its Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certification yearly since 2004.

“We are pleased to once again achieve certification of 100% of our products,” said Garry Bell, vice president for global marketing, on announcing the most recent renewal. “Gildan’s rigorous environmental code of practice reflects our commitment to environmentally responsible processes in all of our manufacturing centres. We also remain driven to innovate and adopt technologies that reduce our environmental footprint at each stage of the manufacturing process.”
