Nilit expands production capacity

Israeli producer of nylon 6.6 Nilit has announced plans to increase production at its plants in Israel and China.

The company will add new POY (partially oriented yarn) and FDY (fully drawn yarn) production lines to its existing production facilities at its
global headquarters in Migdal Ha’emek, Israel. It will also add a new spinning plant and expanded texturing capacity at its Chinese site in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province.

At the same time, Nilit
announced that its German subsidiary has signed an agreement with a key labour organisation there, enabling it to continue production at its plant in Oestringen in Baden-Württemberg. It also announced the opening of a sales and service office in São Paulo to better service customers throughout South America and in Brazil in particular.

Michael Levi, chairman of Nilit, said: “We look forward to bringing the new capabilities and expanded capacity online and to continually improving our service to our worldwide customer base.”
