OIA helps its members save money with PartnerSave

The UK’s Outdoor Industries Association (OIA) has launched a new procurement management service that it says has the potential to deliver thousands of pounds of savings to member companies. The scheme is being managed by PartnerSave, a company that last year helped more than 1,000 companies to streamline their buying. The OIA and PartnerSave are working together on two initiatives. The first of these, Affinity Pro, which is now up and running.

Affinity Pro is designed for larger businesses and begins with analysis of a company’s spend in areas such as banking, packaging, print, property, logistics, office and industrial supplies, utilities and waste disposal. The PartnerSave team then works with to identify savings and negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers. On average, the process finds savings of 20% for companies.

All of the work is carried out on a ‘success fee’ basis, so that payment for the work is made through sharing the savings achieved over the duration of the project. Access to the service is free to all OIA members.

Louise Ramsay, OIA chief executive, comments: “Over the last 18 months, the OIA has added numerous benefits and services to its portfolio as part of our commitment to delivering outstanding value to members. Some of these have been tailored for small businesses and particularly independent retailers, while others such as Affinity Pro will have more appeal to larger companies, who will find that they can derive significant savings from the scheme. PartnerSave has great expertise in helping companies to make big procurement savings and I am sure that Affinity Pro will prove to be of great value to those who use the service, in many cases justifying the investment in OIA membership on its own.”

The OIA has also been working with smaller businesses to identify their individual procurement needs and will launch a second scheme with PartnerSave later in the year, designed for members with lower overhead spends.
