Elephant Surf releases compression short

09/06/2011

US-based surf company Elephant Surf has launched its lower body ‘rashguard’ compression short, ‘The Trunks: Josh Kerr Pro Model’. At the same time, the company has announced a sponsorship agreement with ASP World Tour surfer Josh Kerr. Elephant Surf will be the exclusive provider of lower body rash guard and compression wear to Mr Kerr.

Worn under boardshorts, The Trunks: Josh Kerr Pro Model, are a rashguard, employing protective 2mm neoprene panels on the prime areas for rash, the inner and rear thighs, as well as a compression short improving comfort and overall athletic performance.

Mr Kerr said: “I am so stoked to be a part of this innovation as it goes forward. I love the product and the company. These Trunks prevent leg rash and I can also surf longer because the compression side of them keeps my legs fresh.”

“Kerrzy’s model of The Trunk provide a more stable athletic feel through muscle compression, while also allowing for longer sessions by preventing leg rash and muscle fatigue,” said Elephant Surf owner Marty Guerin. Mr Guerin continued: “We spent about a year and a half researching and designing The Trunks and are confident that there isn’t a product on the market that offers as much in design and technology specifically for the needs of surfers like Kerrzy.”

The AJG Project has also signed on as the exclusive distributor of Elephant Surf products in Australia.
