Le Coq Sportif to renew relations with le Tour

09/06/2011
French sports brand Le Coq Sportif has agreed a new deal to become the official supplier of the iconic jerseys in the Tour de France from the 2012 race. For 40 years from 1951, Le Coq Sportif supplied the famous yellow jerseys worn by champions such as Jacques Anquetil to Bernard Hinault and Eddy Merckx.

The brand will mark its own 130 years in business next year by renewing this relationship with one of France’s, and the world’s, most important sporting events. It will supply, not just the official yellow jersey for the race leader, but also the green jersey for the best sprinter, the polka dot jersey for the so-called King of the Mountains and the white jersey for the leading young rider in the race.
