Outdoor clothing company Woolrich has appointed a descendant of its founder, Joshua W. Rich,to its marketing team. He is an eighth generation member of the family of Woolrich founder, John Rich, who set the company up in 1830. He will work as a marketing coordinator following a year working with Woolrich’s Italian licensee W.P. Lavori in Corso.

“Having a member of our marketing team who has an intimate understanding of the brand and the company’s history is invaluable,” said Brent Hollowell, marketing vice-president.

Joshua Rich will be responsible for assisting the marketing team in various capacities including Woolrich’s social media activities. He will report directly to Hollowell.

“Woolrich, the brand, the company, and its future means so much to me,” he said. “The company is still family-run and I’m proud to be part of the family’s continuing legacy within the company.”
