Ski apparel brand invests in Gerber technology

Ski and cycling apparel company Jonathan & Fletcher of Annecy, France, has adopted Gerber Technology’s YuniquePLM product lifecycle management software to manage the details associated with the design and development of its technical apparel lines.

Georges Pessey, owner of privately-held brand and an experienced designer, said on announcing the development: “My team and I chose YuniquePLM because we found it to have the most comprehensive integration with Adobe Illustrator and because our designers and technical designers determined that it was easiest to use.”

Jonathan & Fletcher custom designs competition skiwear for alpine ski team champions in France, Germany, Finland, Norway and Sweden. The company also specialises in the development of highly technical garments for some of the world’s most recognised sports brands including Rossignol, Salomon and FILA.

Thierry Cusanno, director of Gerber’s software solutions sales in southern Europe, said: “The designs created by Jonathan & Fletcher are extremely technical and require that every aspect of the garment be defined explicitly. YuniquePLM’s tech pack functionality enables designers to communicate product details by associating detailed text to images that graphically communicate every step of the assembly process.”
