Police apparel to feature ThermoCool

01/07/2011

UK-based manufacturer of uniforms, service and special protective clothing, Lion Apparel, will use Advansa’s ThermoCool insulation material in its apparel for members of the police.

Lion Apparel’s latest product launch features technical, multi-functional T-Shirts, which use Advansa engineered fibres in their composition, consisting of a fibre mix of hollow and multi-channel fibres. The apparel has been designed to work within a range of external weather conditions and for the different activities of a police officer. Lion claims that its clothing provides evaporative cooling and thermobuffering properties.

Alex McAllister, manager of technical sales of Lion Apparel said: “Working in different environments and weather conditions demands special clothing for policemen that also offers functionality. Police officers will appreciate the wearing comfort and performance of our latest range of T-Shirts with that suits the needs of their daily work.”

Jordi Lopez, marketing manager at Advansa said: “Combining comfort with multi-functionality, this is what Lion Apparel is offering with its newest range of T-Shirts. The garments achieve an outstanding performance so that the wearer can hold up to strong physical performance or to tough conditions.”

The range will be featured at the Emergency Service Show in Glasgow, Scotland, 5 and 6 July, 2011.
