Toray to unveil new products at OutDoor

04/07/2011

Japanese industrial group Toray has announced its financial results, which show above average growth for the company, with revenues up 13.2%. The group closed the business year 2011 with net sales of $18.5 billion, which represents a gain of 13.2%. The results reflect the combined efforts of long term partnerships with individual customer operations in various business segments.

Toray will also presenting four new products at the OutDoor Trade Fair (14-17 July, Friedrichshafen, Germany).

The first of the products Toray will unveil at OutDoor is ‘With It’ soft compression fabric, which has equal elasticity in both length and width. This provides support for the musculature during movement and reduces muscle vibration. The fabric also features built-in UV-protection of 50.

The second new range of products are Toray’s new 3D technologie, ‘Dermizax 3D’ and ‘Entrant 3D’. The waterproof materials can be worn comfortably directly over bare skin, Toray claims.

Thirdly there is Dermizax NX, representing high breathability combined with waterproofing. According to Toray, the membrane is totally wind and water proof, up to 200% elastic, and is significantly more breathable than any comparable fabric.

Finally, there is thermal insulation solution Quix Down, which Toray claims aids in the transport of water vapour away from the body through the special finish.
