Under Armour buys HQ for $58 million
US sports apparel firm Under Armour has completed a deal to buy its Tide Point headquarters in Locust Point, Pennsylvania, for $58 million.
The company closed on the deal with Hull Point LLC July 6, according to Baltimore land records. The purchase, which includes several buildings and 14.6 acres of land, was for $2.5 million less than Under Armour projected when it announced plans in January to buy the waterfront South Baltimore business park.
The company is studying how it will use the rest of the property. Among the options, company executives are considering building a 25,000-square foot retail store to showcase its newest products.
