Baltes unveils trekking new footwear line

German footwear company Baltes has launched its first collection of trekking shoes at the OutDoor show in Friedrichshafen, Germany (13-17 July, 2011). Baltes is better known for producing footwear for work purposes including the military, police and fire service, but this year has created a collection of shoes specifically aimed at the outdoor market.

The shoes feature the unique BOS System, combing Baltes' design with Outlast thermoregulation and SympaTex waterproofing technology. They also feature 'WellFoot' shock absorption cushioning tailored to the wearer's specific requirements. Depending on the weight of the wearer, different absorption pads can be placed within the shoe to create practical and comfortable footwear for outdoor adventurers.
