Norwegian outdoor brand Helly Hansen has announced that its spring-summer 2012 collection will reflect its commitment to developing products for high-level professionals around the world. North American guiding partners, H2O Guides and Mountain Madness, world class sailor Thomas Coville, polar guide Inge Solheim and world cup athletes Anna Haag and Emil Jönsson are just a few of the professionals that Helly Hansen has worked with to ensure the latest collection “performs as flawlessly as it looks”.

Highlights include an expansion to the Odin collection with a new 242-gramme Odin Fastpack waterproof breathable jacket, an Odin Light softshell and a sportswear line featuring an Odin Series LIFA Knit made with LIFA Stay Dry Technology, Odin Quick Dry Shorts and Pants and a casual Odin Series Shirt.

The brand’s Ask and Embla collections are in what it calls the luxury sportswear segment, fashioned out of top-performing fabrics in “striking silhouettes that make a sophisticated statement”. The men’s Ask Offshore Jacket and women’s Embla Offshore Jacket are sure to catch attention whilst holding off bad weather, Helly Hansen claims.

Also part of the spring-summer 2012 collection is the Ahiga lightweight, performance trainer with subtle and refined Scandinavian styling. And in terms of outdoor footwear, the new Pace Trail HTXP waterproof, breathable trail runner will also feature.
