Pakistan: sports goods exports up 8.3%
Pakistan’s exports of sports goods increased by 8.3% during the fiscal year 2010-11 over the last year, the Federal Bureau of Statistics (FBS) has said.
Exports of sports goods stood at $323 million during July-June (2010-11) as compared to the exports of $298.2 million during the corresponding period of last year. The highest increase among sports good was witnessed in the exports of gloves, which grew by 22.1% during the period, increasing from $98.2 million to $119.8 million. Exports of other sports goods was recorded at $58.8 million against exports of $48.5 million, showing an increase of 21.4% in the year 2010-11 against the last year, the provisional figures released by the FBS revealed.
