Strong garment export results for Vietnam

Vietnam’s textile and garment exports to the US in the first six months of 2011 had a value of nearly $3.2 billion, an increase of 17.3% over the first half of 2010.

Exports to the US accounted for 51.6% of the total, but there were high levels of growth in exports to the European Union (up 51% to $1.16 billion) and Japan (up 47% to $712 million).
