Schoeller Textil has announced its sportswear fabric collection for winter 2012–2013 and for summer 2013. The company’s energear technology, which it says can deliver extra energy to the wearer by reflecting far infrared rays, features in various fabrics, including the elastic schoeller-shapecotton or cotton-mix fabrics, and in elastic woollen and wool-look fabrics.

The collection also includes schoeller-WB-400 soft-shells and schoeller-WB-formula with the group’s c_change climate membrane.

New ‘glow in the dark’ fabric radiates visible lightness in delicate pastel shades. While the schoeller-spirit cotton voile “shimmers during the day in white, grey or the shades of the sea and catches the eye at twilight with its special luminescent effect”, the company said.

Fabrics in the collection have been dyed using a new process that Schoeller calls ‘One of a kind’. According to the Swiss company, ‘One of a kind’ is a more eco-friendly dyeing process.

Thanks to silver threads, the metallic schoeller-spirit polyester-polyamide leno weave fabric in anthracite or marine is, the company claims, reminiscent of the chain mail of medieval knights. “Its cool, very technical look surprises with an unexpectedly soft, pleasant feel,” it adds.
