29/07/2011
After successful events at previous editions of Outdoor Retailer, versatile textile solutions provider Concept III has organised another in its series of seminars, to take place on the first day of the summer edition of the exhibition this year, Thursday, August 4.

Speakers at the Concept III seminar this time will represent German textile research centre The Hohenstein Institute and outdoor brand Patagonia. The subject under discussion will be how best apparel brands can incorporate new technology ideas into their products. Dr Andreas Schmidt, director of function and care at The Hohenstein Institute, will present the most recent information from Europe regarding new textile technologies available to the outdoor market. Steve Richardson, director of material development at Patagonia, will share tips on how to leverage the best available technologies and turn them into market success, while balancing material impact on the environment.

The seminar will take place between 9 and 10 am in the Deer Valley Suite of the Salt Lake City Marriott Downtown, immediately opposite the exhibition. Admission is free, but seats are limited; those interested in attending should email info@conceptiii.com as soon as possible.
