Lowe Alpine US relocates to Louisville, Colorado

The US division of outdoor apparel and equipment maker Lowe Alpine is moving back to the region where it was founded, with all distribution and marketing to be housed at Rab USA LLC's location in Louisville, Colorado by November 1, 2011.

 

Parent company Equip Outdoor Technologies bought the Lowe Alpine brand and all of its assets for an undisclosed amount in mid-July. Equip also owns Rab outdoor apparel and sleeping bag company, with its US headquarters in Louisville. The Lowe Alpine brand was founded in Boulder in 1967.

 

“I have long admired Lowe Alpine, and it has been an inspiration to me during the 20 years that I have been working in the outdoor industry,” Matt Gowar, Equip's chief executive officer, said in a statement.
