Nautical lifestyle footwear brand Sebago has introduced a new category of men’s footwear, Triwater, billing the new products as “the toughest shoes on the water”.

Designed for power boaters, anglers, sailors and all types of water sport enthusiasts, Triwater footwear provides comfort, protection and durability in innovative styles that easily transition from water to land, the footwear brand said at the time of the launch.

“Sebago’s 60 years of experience in the sailing category have allowed us to leverage our expertise to develop this new class of high-performance, high-comfort footwear,” said Gary Malamet, vice-president and general manager for Sebago. “Men of all ages who enjoy water activities from casual boating to serious fishermen will find a Triwater style that fits their personality and lifestyle.”

Technologies that aid comfort and functionality in the shoes include built-in draining channels and “vibration dampening technology”, which the company says protects feet by using a low durometer EVA foam to cushion vibrations while allowing the wearer to feel just enough feedback to connect to the boat. Other features include a hydrophobic fabric cover and antimicrobial properties.
