Fila Golf to launch first outerwear collection at PGA Expo
Fila Golf, the golf branch of South Korea-based sports apparel and footwear firm Fila, will unveil its 2012 collection at the PGA Expo (August 22-24, Las Vegas, Nevada).
Inspired by 1950s prep school athletics, the new Fila Golf offerings include fine details such as mesh rolled shoulders for men as well as keyhole and sweetheart necklines for women.
Using the company’s performance fabrics, including the single-jersey ‘Moss’ and recycled PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate), many pieces have ‘Tech-Dry’ and anti-bacterial technology for moisture and odour prevention. The collection is completed by Fila Golf's first range of outerwear, including wind/rain resistant, textured fleece and soft shell jackets.
“We’re continuing to experience robust golf market growth by introducing bold athletic wear that truly aligns with Fila’s authentic history,” said Nancy Robitaille, principal designer. “The 2012 collection plays off vintage golf, tennis and ski apparel styles, so it’s nostalgic, fun and perfectly suited for the country club or the city.”
