Under Armour signs up gymnast as Olympic ambassador

US gymnast Alicia Sacramone, a winner of three world championship gold medals and a team silver medal winner at the 2008 Olympic Games, has agreed a deal to be an Olympic brand ambassador for sports brand Under Armour in the build-up to London 2012.

Ms Sacramone is the first representative of her sports to sign a sponsorship deal of this kind with Under Armour. Her involvement will include working with the sports apparel firm on the design of a new leotard.

During a break from competition in 2009 she carried out some design work for a fashion apparel brand in Los Angeles.
