Jack Wolfskin confident of reaching footwear landmark

23/08/2011
German outdoor brand Jack Wolfskin has said it is on course to achieve footwear sales of 1.5 million pairs in 2011.

The company added shoes to its product range for the first time in 1999 and increased its presence in the footwear market in 2004 with the introduction of its breathable, waterproof Texapore O2 membrane for shoes, followed two years later by an updated version, Texapore O3.

In the last 12 months, Jack Wolfskin says its sales of footwear have reached 1.4 million, an increase of 40% on the previous 12-month period, which is why the company is confident of going past the 1.5 million-pair landmark for 2011.
