Pakistan: sports goods export up 10% in July
Pakistan’s exports of sports goods increased by 10.2% to reach $28.7 million during July 2011 as compared to the same month of last year. Sports exports during July 2010 were recorded at $32.8 million, according the Federal Bureau of Statistics (FBS).
Among the sports products, exports of footballs increased by 13.4% from $11.9 million in July 2010 to $13.4 million in July 2011.
However, exports of other sports goods witnessed negative growth of 23.8% during July 2011 over July 2010.
Footwear exports of were recorded at $11.1 million in July 2010 against exports of $9.8 million in July 2010, showing an increase of 14.4%.
