New chief operating officer for Berghaus

Outdoor brand Berghaus has announced the appointment of James Harris as its new chief operating officer. He will join the company in September and will be responsible for global planning, operations, supply chain and customer services. He will also direct operations within Hong Kong-based Berghaus Asia.

James Harris joins Berghaus from PZ Cussons where he held the role of head of logistics. He brings with him a wealth of experience in fast moving consumer goods supply chain management, with previous roles at HJ Heinz, Burton Foods and United Brake.

On announcing the appointment, Richard Cotter, brand president, commented: “This role is a significant appointment for Berghaus and takes us another step closer to achieving our global goals. James has exactly the breadth and depth of experience that we require in our chief operating officer and I am delighted that he will now be playing a role in delivering this brand’s ambitious strategy and plans around the world.”
