English rugby player to launch apparel brand
English rugby union player Jonathan Peter “Jonny” Wilkinson will launch a men’s clothing brand Fineside, along with his brother Mark.
The England fly-half expects the new brand to play a major part in his post-rugby life. Jonny, England rugby’s number 10, and his brother have been influenced by the men’s clothing brand Hackett, their former sponsor.
After researching for four years, brothers Jonny and Mark created a team to get their clothing line project off the ground. The team includes designer Lucy Davis and tailor Dan Devine, who earlier used to work at the men’s fashion label Cruise.
Fineside will be inspired by elements from performance wear and sportswear, with a fashionable slant. The rugby player and his brother have decided against building Wilkinson as a brand and will be calling their brand ‘Fineside’.
