DAK Americas completes PET resins acquisition

Mexican fibre manufacturer DAK Americas has completed the acquisition of the PET resins business of Wellman.

The company said on announcing the development that this acquisition brings its total PET resin production capacity to more than 1.9 million tonnes per year in the Americas.

“This latest addition reinforces DAK‘s position as an important player in the global PET marketplace,” said Hector Camberos, the company’s chief executive.
