Specialty California-based soccer retailer Lococo Sports, which runs stores under the brand name Soccer Fanatic, has donated $100,000 worth of unsold soccer apparel and equipment to underprivileged children.

South Florida charity Give N Go will distribute the boots, shirts, shorts and socks to orphanages and foster homes in various parts of the world. Lococo has said the items are stockpiled inventory.

Company president, John Lococo, said on announcing the development: “We’ve been waiting for a few years now to find the perfect organisation for this donation. My main concern has always been ensuring the merchandise would find its way into the right hands when donated. I am hopeful each and every item will go towards bringing joy to the lives of young children here in the US and around the world.”
