Oeko-Tex publishes leaflet on Standard 1000

Specialist Swiss textiles standards body Oeko-Tex has announced that a total of 55 companies from 12 countries have now been certified under its Standard 1000.

Standard 1000 builds on the more established Standard 100 and will, according to Oeko-Tex lead to “continuous improvement in a company’s performance with regard to environmental management, quality control, safety management and social responsibility”.

New in 2011 are the following companies:

TVU Textilveredlungsunion GmbH & Co. KG, Germany (finishing)
Shenzhen Huafu Import and Export Co., Ltd., China (spinning mill and marketing company)
HIDROCOLOR, S.L., Spain (finishing)
Alpha Spinning Co Ltd., Thailand (spinning)
Guangdong Esquel Textiles Co., Ltd., China (all stages of production including garment manufacture)
IRISCROM, S.A., Spain (finishing)
Iberyarn S.A., Spain (spinning)
ACATEX, S.L., Spain (finishing)
RESUINSA, Spain (weaving).
