New wool joint venture hatches bid for WSI

A new joint venture, The New Zealand Wool Investment Company, is reported to be preparing a bid for Wool Services International (WSI), the country’s biggest wool exporter.

Radio New Zealand has said that the new company, a partnership between farmer-owned Wool Equities and Christchurch-based investment bank Ocean Partners, plans to raise NZ$40 million before the end of October to buy WSI.
