Pakistan’s textile exports grew by 12.7% during the first two months of current fiscal year (July and August) compared to the same months last year. Exports during July and August were recorded at $2.2 billion.

Exports of raw cotton were almost ten times higher in terms of value because of the impact of floods on the Pakistani cotton crop last summer.

Exports of finished garments increased by 21.75%, from $269 million to $327.5 million.
