New version of Modal for strict eco-demand

The Lenzing group has announced a new Modal programme in which it will offer customers with strict environmental requirements a new version of the cellulosic fibre. The new version will be called Modal Edelweiss.

Producing Edelweiss at its fully integrated manufacturing plant in Austria means Lenzing will be able to keep every step in the production process under control and pay special attention to environmental protection. It also says the Edelweiss technology is based on a chemical process derived from oxygen and is“more eco-friendly than previous ones”.

Initially only selected quantities will be produced for customers with special ecological requirements, the company said.
