DyStar says ITMA was “rewarding”
The International Textile Machinery Exhibition (ITMA) in Barcelona was a “successful and rewarding” event for textile solutions provider DyStar.
Under the theme ‘Sustainability’, DyStar shared sustainable textile processing knowledge, products and solutions with its guests and visitors as well as attendees of the Sustainable Textile Leadership Roundtable (STLR) and Textile Dyestuff & Chemical Leaders Forum (TDCL).
Representing DyStar as one of the Panelists at the STLR, John Easton, ecology solutions manager, said: “I think the one big idea that come out of the discussion was that in order to move towards sustainability we need greater co-operation along the supply chain, from the brands and retailers right the way back to the fibre suppliers, chemical suppliers and the machinery suppliers.” The STLR attracted about 150 delegates.
The group exhibited its latest innovations in dyes and auxiliaries as well as new technologies designed to help reduce the overall environmental impact of the textile supply chain. It also showcased innovative products for the emerging technology of digital printing, advanced process developments such as the Sera Eco Wash process, and complete solutions for specific application segments such as workwear, sportswear, automotive and denim. The exhibition also served as a platform for DyStar to showcase some of its business collaborations with machinery and fabric partners.
“Having a different approach than other chemical suppliers was strategically positive for us,” said Eric Hopmann, DyStar’s Europe president. “Those who visited our booth have expressed that ours was well-attended, and that the experience with us was most interesting and helpful.”
