47% profit growth for TenCate

Specialist protective fabric manufacturer TenCate has announced a growth in net profits of 47% for the first nine months of 2011, compared to the same period last year.

Revenue for the nine-month period reached EUR 882.4 million (21.3% up on the 2010 figure), on which the Dutch manufacturer achieved a net profit of EUR 50.5 million.

Chief executive, Loek de Vries, said the sales trend in protective fabrics was positive. The company expects to achieve record sales and profits for 2011 as a whole.
