VF supply chain veteran to step down

Boyd Rogers, head of supply chain at apparel group VF Corporation is to retire at the end of December after four decades of service to the company. Vice-president for global operations, Tom Glaser, will take up the role from the start of January 2012.

Mr Rogers began his VF career in 1971and held various manufacturing, engineering and product management positions. He joined the corporate team in 2000, assuming responsibility for process reengineering, as well as management of the shared services, technology and global sourcing organisations. He took up his current role in 2005.

“VF is known for the strength of our supply chain capabilities, and we are fortunate to have had Boyd’s strong leadership in this area for so many years,” said Eric Wiseman, the group’s chief executive. “We thank Boyd for his exceptional service to our company.”
