FR fabric for tents and uniforms in Canada

14/11/2011
Protective fabrics manufacturer TenCate has won the right to provide flame resistant (FR) fabric for two successful tenders in the Canadian military market. The first is for garments for the Canadian Air Force, made with FR fabric from the TenCate Brigade portfolio. The second tender was awarded to TenCate Protective Fabrics directly and involves the use of TenCate Campshield FR tent fabrics.

The garment for the Advance Combat Ensemble (ACE) used by the Canadian Air Force will be manufactured by Peerless Garments of Winnipeg. TenCate Protective Fabrics will supply Nomex-based 7.5 ounce TenCate Brigade FR fabric in three colours for the manufacture of these garments.

Public Works & Public Services Canada issued a contract directly to TenCate to supply Campshield FR liner fabric made with Nomex for use in the tents for all Canadian Defence Forces.
