China: Fuijian holds consumer product expo
China’s southeastern province of Fujian held a consumer product expo in Singapore on 23 November, 2011, in a bid to explore south-east Asian markets.
About 350 exhibitors from Fujian took part in the fair to sell products including sports apparel, footwear, food and electric- powered consumer products. The show is one of the few large fairs selling Chinese products only.
Ruan Weixing, general manager of an exhibition firm co-organising the event, said the firm and its Hong Kong-based cooperation partner invited thousands of buyers from southeast Asian countries and regions.
Wang Qiang, a trade official from the provincial government of Fujian, said it put together the exhibition in Singapore for companies from Fujian to explore the emerging markets in Southeast Asia.
