After the 2011 ITMA exhibition in Barcelona in the early autumn, circular knitting machine manufacturer Terrot said the highlight for it at the event was the reception it received for its F132-AJ direct spin-knit process, which uses an air-jet spinning system.

The F132-AJ spinning unit can be fitted to all Terrot single-jersey and double-jersey machines. The spinning system, which is modular,
can be fitted with 24, 32 or 40 spinning heads per unit and has an integrated flyer, integrated fluff removal and integrated monitoring.

Resulting fabrics, according to the technology provider, have a quality feel and look, a soft handle and good dyeability with rich
colours. Elastane plaiting is also possible with the new system.

It summed up the benefits of the new system by saying it requires 33% and 40% less factory space, up to 50% energy savings, 30% lower investment costs and 50% lower production costs.
