Geox supplies world champions with golden shoes

Footwear brand Geox has supplied the Red Bull Racing team with special shoes to celebrate winning the 2011 drivers’ and constructors’ championships in Formula One for the second successive season.

Winning driver, Sebastian Vettel, wore a prototype of the new model, Golden Shoes, at the final Grand Prix of the Season in São Paulo, Brazil, on November 27. The shoes will go on show on the Geox stand at the Bologna Motor Show from December 1-11.

The shoes are based on the PE12 model that Geox designed for Red Bull Racing and launched in July. The footwear company said introducing a new version in gold was “the natural consequence of success”.
