High interest in Russia in German technical textiles

The organisers of ‘High-Tex from Germany’, a special in-exhibition event that will take place at Techtextil Russia in Moscow in March, have said that the interest they have received has exceeded their expectations.

Altogether, 53 companies will make presentations, including providers of technical textiles, research institutes, and eight manufacturers of textile machinery.

 Dietmar Schmitz, head of the fair policy at Germany’s Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology, commented: “We are more than satisfied with the number of registrations received, which has exceeded our expectations. This ‘High-Tex from Germany’ ranks among the most successful events since it was launched in 2000. We have not only reached but also exceeded our target of 50 participants. Russia is a prosperous market; there is an enormous demand for technical textiles there.”

He added that German companies and institutes are highly regarded as business partners and have a good reputation in Russia.
