US-based outdoor apparel brand Patagonia plans to open a new Chicago store in December 2011. The company will unveil its store at 48 E. Walton St. on 8 December and will hold a grand opening event on 15 December. The store will carry outdoor clothing, casual apparel and footwear, along with technical clothing for skiing and snowboarding.

Patagonia operates 27 stores in the US.
