Nilit announces AW 12-13 trends

For the autumn-winter 2013-2014 season, the company says the worlds of bodywear and activewear "declare fashion freedom and look forward to celebrating the spirit of individuality", with lingerie meeting streetwear, corsets and girdles influencing ready-to-wear and streetwear inspiring gym and fitness gear.
Technical fibers will play an increasingly important role, according to Nilit, and will be skillfully engineered into bodywear and activewear to provide comfort, high performance and wellbeing. New standards in innovation take into account environmental concerns while maximising the limitless possibilities offered by the new technologies.
Four trends stand out.
In Soft Touch, ultra-lightness is a key attribute for bodywear fabrics, leading to pleasantly tactile fabrics with fine-gauge knits, delicate softness and a powdery touch. In Glamorous Shine, there is an emphasis on elegance and ornamentation. The third trend, Slim and Shape, reflects the ongoing search for highly technical and innovative shapewear that incorporates style, comfort and sophisticated performance properties. Finally, in Sport Protection, multifunctional garments for fitness and training take centre stage.
