First Descents adds new outdoor locations for 2012

First Descents, a Colorado-based charity that specialises in organising outdoor adventure activities for young adults with cancer, has announced its activities for 2012.

This year, the organisation will open its activities up to care-givers as well as to cancer sufferers and survivors, making it possible for them to take part in week-long surfing, kayaking and rock-climbing programmes.

As well as popular US outdoor locations such as the Shawangunk Mountains in New York state, the Outer Banks in North Carolina, Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and the Joshua Tree National Park in California, First Descents will take groups to Costa Rica and Peru.
