Fila extends apparel deal with tennis stars
South Korean sports apparel brand Fila has extended its personal endorsement deals with Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) players Kim Cljisters and Svetlana Kuznetsova. As part of the renewed agreements, both players will wear Fila apparel and footwear throughout the 2012 tennis season.
Ms Clijsters has won 41 WTA singles titles since turning professional in 1997 including three Grand Slams, at the US Open in 2005, 2009 and 2010 and at the Australian Open in 2011.
Ms Kuznetsova has won 13 WTA singles titles, two of which have been Grand Slams. The Russian player is currently ranked as 19th in the WTA.
