Yamaha Factory Racing signs Saucony as footwear supplier

Italy-based motorcycle team Yamaha Factory Racing has announced that US performance footwear and apparel brand Saucony will be the premium supplier to the team for the 2012 MotoGP season.

 

Under terms of the agreement, Saucony will supply the Yamaha team with high-end athletic shoes that will become part of the outfit’s official uniform. According to a statement from Saucony, “Specific technology is incorporated into the footwear relevant to the sporting discipline”.

 

“We are very pleased to have Saucony join us for 2012,” said Yamaha Factory Racing director Massimo Meregalli. “It’s fantastic to have a top brand on board with us whose reputation for excellence in their field mirrors that of Yamaha. We are always on the move during the season so good footwear is essential for the team, we couldn’t ask for better.”
