Record revenues for VF

Apparel group VF Corporation has announced record revenues for 2011.

Revenues increased by 23% to almost $9.5 billion from $7.7 billion in 2010. Timberland, which the group acquired in September, added $713 million to revenues in 2011. Organic revenue growth was 14%. Revenues for its outdoor and action sports segment (including The North Face) rose 42% during the year. Net income rose 28% to $913 million.

Chief executive, Eric Wiseman, called the company’s portfolio of brands “diversified, global and growing” and said VF would build on this in 2012.
