With the help of outdoor industry people visiting ispo 2012 in Munich earlier this month, the European Outdoor Conservation Association (EOCA) raised more than EUR 6,500 to support projects in 2012.

Of this, EUR 5,200 came from the sale on the
EOCA stand of breakfast smoothies, sponsored by Nikwax, as well as the sale of goody bags, with which participants could pick up a whole host of items from EOCA members’ stands throughout the exhibition. A further EUR 1,400 was donated by the organisers of ispo from donations for drinks and snacks at the Snow Ice & Rock Summit during the four days of the show.

Commenting afterwards, show director, Markus Hefter, said: “We were overwhelmed by the generosity of the exhibitors and visitors alike, and are delighted to be able to give such a significant donation.”
